This week’s shop feature is Eternal Girl Shop by Julia Toussaint. Swan makes very unique jewelry such as necklaces and earrings and I love the greeting cards that she makes. I think the Key earrings are very cute and creative as well. I love the symbolism she gives in each of the necklaces as I think that is what makes her shop very unique. Check out more about her shop below. oyu just might find a jewelry piece that is unique and represents you for who oyu are through her store.
1. How did you come up with the Name of your Shop?
“Puer aeternus,” which is Latin for ‘eternal boy,’ has mythological meaning of being child-like and craving boundless freedom; being forever young in a sense. My artwork is an outlet of my inner expressions, my inner child, so to speak. Being a women and creating jewelry for women, I used the female version, puella aeterna, or eternal girl to describe my work.
2. Tell us a little bit about your shop and what you think makes it
Eternal Girl specializes in handmade jewelry and greeting cards. The jewelry is made of my own hand-drawn designs. Eternal Girl’s designs are inspired by henna art. Each drawing features symbolic images specific to henna tradition. Available products include necklaces, rings, key chains, earrings, and open-ended greeting cards. Custom orders are also available.
3. What is your favorite item at the store and why?
I really like my paisley necklace design. I like to call this a “free style floral” design, where I can go beyond the constraints of a typical flower and draw free flowingly, so to speak.
4. What inspires create your products?
Henna. About five years ago, a few of my work mates were from Indian and introduced me to henna art. I fell in love ever since. What motivates me to keep going is to share with others. I like to share my positivity through my creations. It is a way of connecting with individuals I wouldn’t normally interact with everyday. The thought of being able to reach out to others simply through material objects is amazing.
6. Do you have any coupons or discounts for us?
I have occasionally post coupon codes on my blog, twitter, pinterest, and facebook pages! Use coupon code SAVE15 for 15% off your purchase.
7. What advice can you give for other sellers out there for their shop?
Just network as much as you can…offer free samples, participate in blog marketing, help other Etsy sellers through teams, perfect your social media networking. What you give is what you get.

Pizza!! I love lots of toppings- pineapple, onions, peppers, jalapenos, olives, mushrooms…
9. Describe us one positive event in your life in your life that you felt was a miracle to you or that you knew the Universe was there watching over you.
I was in a car accident about five years ago, where I was sitting at the bottom of a hill, on a rainy day, in stopped traffic. All of a sudden, I was rear ended by a school bus (empty of children, thank God)! I remember as it was happening seeing glass all over – my rear window had shattered and my car looked similar to an accordion. I ended up breaking my sternum – the bone in my chest, and having horrible issues with the ligaments and muscles attached to my spinal cord. My recovery process took years and I could have died in the accident, but I don’t regret it because it made me stronger!
10. What is your favorite vacation spot and why?
The outer banks, north carolina. I love the beach and I went here two summers in a row. The place was just so relaxing.
